Thanks to all the veterans, you are the reason I’m free. You are the bomb.

Last week I had my annual mammogram, they called on Thursdayto say I needed to come back. My mom, 3 of her sisters and at least one of my dad’s had had breast cancer. This week has been hell. I put my fate in GOD’s hand and my return visit came out okay.

It was a beautiful day today. I got the turkey frier oil cleaned out and ready for this Thanksgiving. One more thing checked off the long list. We do Thanksgiving on the Saturday after and invite family and friends and do all the foid. Some of the older members insist on bringing something but we just want a big turn out. We don’t have much at Christmas, so we really enjoy putting on the dogat Thanksgiving.

Very nice day. I hung the sheets on the line. I also dried colored clothes in the dryer.

Made my first pot of vegetable soup. Delicious! It was overcast today and the wind was chilly.

The trucker breakfast was this morning. Josh came for a change. Richard came for the first time. Monte made it, heis walking with a cane for the time being.

WW is getting ready to change again. Next week will be fun. I gained this week and then went wild with a fried ham sandwich and pizza. I’ll have to workhard this week.

Colder today. I saw some snow flurries on the wayto town this morning.

The cats have decided the house is better than outside. Paisley is laying in the middle of the kitchen floor.

Did you vote today?

We had a heavy frost this morning but it turnedout to be a pretty day. I did laundry. I hung the towels on the line and dried the rest in the dryer. I love the feel of towels dried outside. I will miss that this winter.

Had my mammogram this morning. I arrived 25 minutes before my appointment time. I had to wait almost an hour after my appointment before being called back. Now I can understand a doctor having an emergency and appointments getting backed up, but a technician? Over booking is a problem in the medical field.

We had a heavy frost again last night. Rumors have it that we could have flurries later in the week.

Relaxing Sunday. Feels like I should have been in bed hours ago. Duke wanted outat 6 am. Jay was sleeping because he had to drive this afternoon, so I couldn’t yell at Duke to be quiet. I had to get up.

Killer frost, down to 21 degrees.

My granddaughter became a teenager today.  She called and thanked me for her card.

Jay and his dad worked on the S10 all afternoon.  They put a new coil in and now it doesn’t start.  It was running before they started.

I let the chickens out for a little and the fox didn’t show up.  I hate that they can’t run outside all day, but I didn’t buy them for fox food.

The last day for daylight savings time, my saddest day.  I know it’s dumb, but I had it getting dark at 5 p.m.

The leaves have been prettier this year thanthe past few.  Fall is my favorite season.

We were quite windy last night.  Ionly found a couple downed branches.  Thr manthat plants cornin the fields aroud our house has started harvesting the ears.  Duke and I havebeen going out looking for ears left behind.  I give it to the chickens duringthe winter, it keeps them out of trouble.

Sunday Walk

I took a walk down the road this morning. The Redbud and Dogwood are in bloom.  The buttercups are starting along with many planted flowers that linger or have been moved by the

squirrels.
